About This Experiment
What is this?
This project studies how people relate to shared moments in time. It's an experiment in attention, not belief.
The Gravity Pause marks a daily moment that occurs simultaneously for everyone, regardless of location, culture, or circumstance. We're interested in whether simply noticing such moments — without any instruction or expectation — affects how people experience time.
What this is not
This is not a spiritual practice, meditation app, or wellness tool. We make no claims about benefits, outcomes, or effects. The page simply marks a moment. What you do with that information — if anything — is entirely up to you.
Why does it exist?
Modern life is filled with time that demands something from us: deadlines, appointments, notifications, obligations. The Gravity Pause is an experiment in offering the opposite — a moment that asks nothing.
We're curious whether people return to such moments, and if so, why. The data we collect is limited to anonymous usage patterns: page views, session duration, and return visits. We don't track identities or personal information.
The personal results
When you enter a birthdate, the page generates a reflection based on your temporal pattern. These results are not predictions or readings. They're observations — ways of framing how different people might experience the same moment differently.
Think of them as lenses, not labels.
Part of Quantum Merlin
This experiment is part of the Quantum Merlin library — a collection of quiet tools for noticing time, patterns, and moments. Each tool in the library shares the same philosophy: offer something without demanding anything in return.
